Moving and want to bring XBOX ONE with me...

    Hey,

I'm moving from Ireland to Canada in the next few months, I've been trying to find a definitive answer as to whether just changing the power supply block and lead is enough for me to use it over there. And can I just download all the games from Xbox Live
instead of sending them from home. And will the ordinary HDMI cable work on the TV's over there?

    Thanking you in advance.

    Vinny

    :)

Vinny, first off it would depend on how old the TV is there at your new place. Every newer TV has HDMI input. Don't you plan on packing your current TV?

You could pick up a US/Canada power brick, but I don't think it's available for purchase seperatly.

In order for you to run your XB1 in Canada, you would need to get a step-up converter. I use one to power my Karcher Robocleaner (I live in the States). It's designed to run on 50Hz, but over here it's 60Hz and doesn't have any issues.

The XB1 while playing a game requires ~110Watts, so you will want to purchase a step-up converter which can handle at least 250 watts. You want a converter that is around 1/2 more wattage of the appliance you will be using. It won't heat up as much and
    it will last longer.

    Hope this helps.

Cheers for the reply Fraggboy, I'll be getting a new TV over there so it will have HDMI. So I need and inverter from 220 volts to 110 volts but it also has to be rated for 250 watts. Is that right?

Yes, a step-down inverter. Mine is a step-down and step-up. 250 Watts should be adequate to run the XB1
