Moving an Xbox live profile to a new email

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to move my xbox live profile from my cousins outlook email to a new email for myself? I had started my account on his email since I didn't have one many years ago. I want to separate my xbox account from his. Is this
possible without losing games and progress?

Thank you for your post. I understand you are looking to transfer profile information from one Microsoft account to another. Xbox Profile transfers are not an available feature. If you'd like to change the email on your account, try:

Change your Microsoft Account Alias.

Since it is already a Microsoft account there is no way to add that email to the other account.

There is no way to move an Xbox profile from one Microsoft account to another.

There is no way to move an already existing Microsoft server/account email (outlook, Hotmail, live, MSN.com) to another Microsoft account.

If you are not wanting to use the email that is currently attached to your Xbox profile you are unfortunately going to have to create a new email address.

You will have to reset the password to your windows live ID first then once the new password is in place recover the profile to the console.

If you've created a new account with the new email, which appears to be the case, you need to create a dummy microsoft account with a new email to move this account over to, freeing up this email to change his account to.

When you create a new microsoft account and email, you must be careful not to create a new xbox live profile as well.

I don't know if this answers your question but when my husband moved from Canada to New Zealand, he was able to use his Xbox 360 profile, but not access anything on the marketplace, or be able to get microsoft points. This was
because his email linked to his profile was registered in America after living there for two years. He had this trouble when he moved back to Canada as well. Microsoft told him there was no way to change it. In the end, he had to just create a new profile
with a new email registered in NZ.

This was for the Xbox 360, but I would say it would be the same with the Xbox One.
