    Moving abroad - Region Differences and Concerns


    Looking for some help and advise.

    I am about to migrate from the UK to USA and was looking for some help on whether it's feasible to take my XBone and 360 with me.

    I have been reading that in regards to the power supply units I can simply purchase the US equivilant PSU to power the devices. Is this correct?

    I also have read a lot of mixed information on game compatibility issues based on region.

    Can anyone confirm that when I change my region on Xb-Live from UK to US if games I have purchased online via the xb store or game discs I have physically purchased will be playable online in the US now I am in a different region? Also if I purchase games
    in the US will they be playable on EU made consoles?

    I am a bit concerned my current collection of games will become useless when moving.

    I couldn't really find any official document on on region differences and how it effects existing/new game purchases or how online content would differ.

    Appreciate any help you have to offer.

    Moving Abroad advice

    Hi

    Can anyone help me with the following...



    I am planning to work in QATAR for 2 years starting in September. (I will still be travelling back and forth to the UK every couple of months)

    As the region sold in QATAR is PAL I plan to take me xbox with me.



    I am keeping my UK bank account ( associated with my xbox account ) open.



    Can I simply recover my account in QATAR and play as normal?

    I believe the Xbox One wont have a problem as it is region free, so will play games from any region. But as for the 360 that is no region free, so will not play US games.

    I hope someone will let you know if I am right or wrong about this.

    Yep,Xbox One is region free when it comes to games,not dvd or Blu-ray though.

    The xbox 360 isn't though so any games you buy in the U.S. would need a U.S. console to play them on.

    Xbox Game Studios (AoE IV) pricing justification

    There is not any "issues" with US inhabitants and regional pricing of AoEIV afaik. If you feel concerned by the regional pricing of AoEIV in the US, feel free to share your thoughts.

    If not, I don't understand what US sales taxes have to do with games copies sold abroad. If any US tax applies on games digitally distributed abroad, feel free to share your information about that, I'll be interested.
