    Moving a Gamertag


    I'm wondering if it's possible to move a gamertag from one account I own to another account I own. It would be essentially a gamertag change of an account I currently own to another I own. Not sure if this is possible. I have the free gamertag change still
    available on the account I want to import that name to.

    Hi there!

    You may only have one Xbox Live Account per Microsoft Account.

    You cannot stack accounts. In regards to your randomly generated gamertag, you have the ability to change it once for free.

    I'd advise using the xbox.com website when handling account editing as the console can sometimes be unreliable..

    You have to remove him as family member in the account settings. After that you can create an another gamertag with a new email adress.

    I believe you may have to remove him as family member in the account settings and create an email for his account.

    before we start listing any ideas you may have tried, what have you done? Have you gone into your account settings and tried switching the email address used?
