Moving a gamer tag from an adult to a child account

Both of my sons received Xbox one's for Christmas. To get them started we set their gamer tags up on mine and my husbands Hotmail accounts. Now I want to limit their screen time and transfer money via the account so I've set up family and created them both
Microsoft accounts of their own. The accounts are ready to use but I cannot find how to unlink their gamer tags from our accounts and assign them to their own. Can anyone advise how I do this as at the moment it seems they have to create a gamer tag but we
have bought expensive add ons that we don't want to lose on their current gamer tags. Any help would be much appreciated.

Moving game progress from an adult account to a child account??

Before my son played online, he used to play signed in as me on the Xbox 1s. He now plays online. So he doesnt lose his game progress, he still plays signed in as me but I have changed my settings to those suitable for his age. However, I really want him
to have a child account so that I can set time limits for him and not have to enter my password everytime he wants to go on the xbox. I therefore wondered if anyone knows of a way of transferring this game progress to a child account or turning my adult account
into a child account? Many thanks.

Paul from Xbox Forums Team here to assist with the issue, it sounds like you want to transfer data over from one account to the other. Unfortunately there is no way to transfer data over from one account to another.
