    Movies & TV app - 4K 10bit at 24Hz


    Netflix, Prime video could never output 4K 10bit @ 24Hz. Even though all movies here in US are native 24 FPS, streaming services stick to 60Hz signal instead. At first I thought it's XBOX One S issue but the below link clarified it to be an issue with video
    apps instead. The "Test HDMI connection" app in store is a perfect example on how apps must auto detect and change output signal.

    Xbox, Netflix, Prime Video. Why do they judder?

    Now, EPSON's popular projectors like 4000, 5040 or 6040 cannot handler 4K 10 bit @ 60Hz causing it to lose HDR and also fall back to BT709.

    Why is Movies & TV app acting the same way ? I thought Microsoft would do something good with their streaming app. I tried playing UHD HDR movies like Kong: Skull island etc. and it doesn't go to 24 Hz (which means doesn't auto detect and update output signal).

    Can this be addressed ??

    Is there a bug with the xbox one s detecting hdr10 ?

    I have a ks8000 and the 4k tv details is saying It doesnt support 4k 10bit at 24hz, 50z,60hz or that it supports hd10 video, when in fact it should . I've tried all the troubleshoots , idk if I contact Microsoft or samsung lol

    Xbox One S brightness / dimness issue

    Yep everything except under watching movies and tv at 4K 24hz and 50hz. It's so weird I was playing Deus Ex with no problems. The UI stayed vibrant and bright throughout.

    When i try to put the resolution in 4k it says the tv only supports 4k at 24hz not 60hz. And when i check the details its saying it will only work for tv and movies i guess not games. I actually wanted it for the games

    Its an xbox one x. But i think 4k only works for tv and movies not gaming thats what it says anyway when i i try and what the 4k details say. Says it only uses 4k at 24hz also

    I tried that too and didn't work for me either I got the same results. Today something happened, I change the bit setting on the Xbox to 30hz 10bit and /I was able to change the resolution to 4K, the error of 50hz 10bit still there. I tested Netflix app
    and I was able to see 4K and HDR movies, I also try a 4K BD with HDR and works fine. I honestly didn't notice any change on the dash board or games it looks the same to me, the only big difference here is the HDR movies looks so good they look fake LOL. Ill

    Xbox one S video format support

    All formats play perfectly via the KS8000 default player, except any of my 4k x265 HEVC 10bit test files I downloaded. Of course I can imagine its the most advance format there is, but as its a 4k TV which supports 10bit, I would love to be able to play
    the format :(
