    You don't mention whether you have ever been able to watch movies, I thought it may be an incompatibity with HDCP which is explained in link.

    Age of TV may also be a factor.

    There can be 3 factors:
    1.- your disk is damaged
    2.- Your disc may not be original
    3.- the laser reader of your xbox may be damaged

    Can I stream movies from Internet Explorer on my Xbox 360?

    The 360 does not support the flash players required for streaming movies

    Movies can only be watched using one of the available 360 apps.

    Turn off narrator Xbox 360

    The narrator option is only available for Xbox one not Xbox 360. If your watching a movie via the movie app check the movie and app settings.
