    Movies and TV rental wont let me play it


    I purchased the rental for: The Avengers: Age of Ultron on my computer in the Microsoft store and on my Xbox one it is not showing up as rented nor will the Xbox let me do anything with the title at all. Suggestions?

    Every movie and tv show i have purchased from xbox video no longer plays. But if i try to watch an episode i already bought wont let me watch it, if i try to buy the episode or movie again it says it already exists, but doesnt givr me the option to push
    play Usually it says ready to watch on all the tv shows and movies ive bought. Now it dont say that. Ive tried refreshing, made sure im on the right account etc....am i screwed or is there a way to get everything back? Ive literally spent hundreds of dollars
    on movies and tv shows from xbox video! Someone please help!!

    I tried playing the movie again this morning, and it worked. No further updates were downloaded.

    However, the fact that this error has occurred two rentals in a row, and has required a wait of a day each time, has made me afraid of making future rentals. I would like an assurance that this has been or will be resolved. Otherwise, I'll be switching over
    to my Amazon Fire TV for movie rentals.

    Movie rental will not play

    I had the exact same thing happen to me. I rented a movie and selected the download option. I never tried to play the movie. just downloaded it, turned off the console, and went to bed. 2 days later I go to watch it and nothing, just purchase and delete
    options. At this point the video said I had 12 days remaining to watch the movie. I got on the PC and I did a chat support. They walked me through troubleshooting steps; deleting Marketplace System Data (which didn't exist on my drive) from System Items on
    the hard drive, deleting System Rights Database from System Items on the hard drive, navigate to Hard Drive press Y and Clear System Cache (asked to repeat this step 5 times), then turn the console off.

    Then, restart the console, go to Xbox Videos > My Videos > Account Management. and press the 'X' button to 'refresh purchases'. It is important to note that at this point, the rental video tile was reporting that my video had expired.

    At this point MS refunded my points for the video. I was happy to get the points back but I would've rather watched the movie honestly. I was warned the refunded points are a one time shot. I could try to rent the movie again but if I had problems at that
    point, tough cookies.

    My advice to anyone else who has this issue: Don't immediately get mad, throw your hands up, and complain, get a hold of support. DON'T follow these steps on your own and go deleting files without a support person telling you to or you probably won't get
    your points back.

    I just hope my experience can help someone else out there.
