Movie rentals stopped working

Hi, I had a similar problem. Seems my hard disk had a problem and caused the download to stop. I cannot restart the download, neither from history nor elsewhere. I can only buy the movie, but had it for rental. Could it be that it has been removed from movies
for rental while I was downloading it? This would be really mean.

According to the sales from that site, that movie was not eligible for the promotion. The movie was part of a rental sale, but rentals are not part of the promotion. aka.ms/gamerflicks

Is this happening in Movies & TV app on your Xbox console? If so see these steps:

If this is the Xbox app then Try resetting Xbox at Settings > Apps > Apps & Features > Xbox Live > Advanced Options > Repair and Reset. Restart PC, test again.

If that fails try re-register the app from Option Two here:

If that fails try reinstalling the App from Settings location above, restart PC, then reinstall from MS Store app Settings > My Library.

In addition, no rentals are available through the website because you can only use the rental on the device which it is rented on.

I just rent a movie it play for 5 mins then stop and I got the code that everyone else has got am I going to be reimbursed since it's a 24hr rental
