Movie Rental Refund Denied

I rented Spider-man Far from Home on my Xbox 360 last week, and it started with narration for the visually impaired on by default. Searching through the forums, many others had this same issue (also with Spider-verse). The solution was provided for Xbox
One, but not 360. I confirmed this with live chat support, and I requested a refund (I only watched the first two minutes of the film).

My denial came through today with this explanation: Your purchase is not eligible for under the Microsoft Stores
Terms of Sale.

I disagree with this denial and feel it was processed without an effort to understand that the rental description was misrepresented.

How can I dispute this?

I to had the same kind of a response when I tried to get a refund on a movie rental. I tried to rent Hobbs and Shaw and I never could view it I keep getting a message that I can not recall the whole thing but it kept telling me to
try again later.

When I requested the refund they denied with the same response. I did deny it, ( I just replied to the email) and they said the same thing only difference was they said there decision stands.

I also ask for a more specific reason and the response I got to that was they are unable to disclose that information.

I tried to contact a customer service rep. and after numerous tries to get past the ridiculous "BOT" that now handles customer service. I get a customer service rep that says they can't do anything, because they are unable to override
any decisions and that I should just keep disputing the denial, or to contact my bank and dispute the charges, which I might add should never be suggested by any customer service rep.

Will definitely not be renting anymore movies through Microsoft anymore because if I have any difficulties that is no fault of my own I will lose $6. Microsoft no longer wants to issue refunds of any kind.

You would have to try replying to the email you received denying the refund to contact the refund specialists and also try resubmitting the request.

Thank you. I did do that, but it seemed like it was a "no-reply" email. I will wait to see if I get a reply.

I see this issue in the forums all the way back to last summer. I would think they would have fixed this by now.

It could be due to the way they acquire the licenses for the digital movies as well. Since we can't be told it could be contractual obligations. Hard to say though.

Here is the response I received from my email reply to my first refund denial

>>We have received your response regarding your refund decision for orders placed on January 2, 2020.

The decision of on your request still stands. We are not able to disclose further information

regarding this refund decision.<<

I realize it's only $5.99, but I only watched 2 mins of the movie because it was unwatchable with the narration.

Hate to keep fighting them on this over $5.99, , but it doesn't seem like very good customer service.
