    Hello. I just bought a movie on the xbox store and it displayed german as an available language. But once i start the movie it's in english and there is no other option available. Could somebody please help me out? Thanks a lot in advance

    I bought a movie in the German store. It says it is also in English, but there is no option to change the language!!!!! I would like to watch the movie in English! Do not offer the film in English and then not let you choose between
    languages! Awful store!

    Hello Luis,

    Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. The Xbox 360 does not have language packs for the media player. The console is reading the data for the movie from the USB drive. Thus, the movie must be in the desired language before it is placed in the
    USB drive. We hope this helps!

    I'm going to assume that you're purchasing and downloading movies using the Xbox Movies app. If I'm not correct, please let me know.

    Each publisher is different in the way that they publish their movies, as well as subtitles and language translations. Unfortunately, not all videos available on the Xbox Movies and TV marketplace are optimized for all languages due to content restrictions.

    I hope this helps clarify the issue.

    Hello,

    The console's language/locale settings don't have anything to do with the language you get the movie in. The movie language is dependent on what country your Xbox LIVE account is actually registered under.

    If you're in a country that supports multiple languages they should be selectable if you follow the directions
    here.
