    Movement speed is awkward?


    I played a little of the demo on Xbox One just now, and the movement seems awkward to me. It seemed like I could only go from really slow to full speed. Anyone else run into this? Is this adjustable? I recently went through Doom, and Doom II on the Doom
    3 BFG disc, and the movement wasn't like this at all. In those games I felt like I could control just fast I moved smoothly, but not in the Doom 2016 demo.

    I tend to use LMG's on maps where movement speed is not necessary as it is not ideal to use them on open maps because of the reduced movement speed.

    Movement speed is awkward?

    I noticed that too. There's a very fine line of control stick input between "slow as snails" to "90mph".

    I guess that's just a product of the intended game design, as it's designed to be a fast-paced shooter where you run into hordes of enemies guns ablaze. The slow movement is probably for some observation of the objects in the environment and probably some
    scoping action (offered by a couple guns, I won't spoil which).

    It's likely a lot different with a mouse and keyboard, but I haven't played the PC version. One thing I can tell is that this game was really trying to bring back its roots from the original two games, and they must've somewhat designed the controller input
    to emulate that feel.

    Thanks Internet Expert. I agree that it's probably by design. I do hope they patch it at some point, but I'm not sure many are complaining about it.

    Does the stalker perk in ghosts let you turn quicky too maybe? That might make it feel like that. I havent used it in ghosts, but what I didnt like about it in bo2 was that movement was faster, but if you incuded turning it slowed down to normal speed. It
