Moved to a different country and can't purchase anything

Hi, I recently moved from US to Argentina. I have an xbox 360 and have bought games and DLC before, but now that I moved and changed jobs, I have an Argentina based credit card, and even though I changed the locale on my account, whenever I try to purchase
something I get asked to input my card info, but on the address state and country I get my old info and it's blocked, so I cannot change it, and so the purchase won't got through because it says my card is not valid, since the card was not issued in the US.

I've changed my info from the xbox website and deleted my old credit card, but when I try to add a new payment option, the address on the new credit card shows US as the default country and cannot be selected or edited.

As far as I know, Argentina is a valid country for xbox use and purchase (there's an Argentina xbox store website), so I cannot figure out why I can't change my account to work with this store instead of the US store.

Region conflicts

I have moved countries. Why aren't i allowed to change regions? i can't add new microsoft vouchers from my new country and I am unable to purchase from my old country. Any advise please?? If i create a new account do I lose all my points and levels in games
etc?

for future questions please create your own thread instead of using old ones

if you make a digital purchase it is the correct Version for your current Region, so in case you recently moved to a different Country you might Need to Change your information

I had only edited my region info on my profile, I didn't know there was a process required to migrate the account to a different country. It worked perfectly, thank you very much!

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you've gifted a prepaid code to a friend in a different region. Correct, when you gift someone a game they should be in the same region as you or it may not function as intended
due to region differences. You can fill out an
Xbox Refund Request Form and they will give you any information or options available to you. Hope this helps.
