Moved my GT to a new email now I have 2 emails associated with a GT

Hello,

I just move a gamer tag (GT) following the direction from the support site
http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/errors/error-code-80154013 from my primary email to a temp email address with the hopes of doing some house cleaning. I need to move the GT I'm posting with (GT1) to my primary hotmail account but it already had a
GT on it (GT2) from when I first bought my xbox. So I created a temp outlook.com account and from my xbox associated GT2 with it hoping to free up my primary hotmail.com account. this appeared to go successfully.

I now however have my GT2 associated with 2 emails, the outlook.com temp account (which is good) and the primary hotmail.com account (which is bad). I get the Error 80154013: “This Microsoft account already has an Xbox membership” when I try and move my
GT1 to the hotmail.com account on the XBOX. Also I can log into xbox.com with both email accounts and it shows me the GT2 profile.

Is there a wait time when doing GT moves that could be causing this?

Gamertag associated with Email - inconvenient situation (need help)

I tried to do a quick search here but didn't see a similar situation posted, apologies in advance if it's been discussed already. I'll explain my situation below and summarize my experience with chat support. Please let me know if anyone has any alternatives or even a different escalation path I can try to take to resolve this.

Note: This isn't the typical scenario where one wants to change the email associated with a GT and it can only be done via XB360 - that's basically all I found when searching online for my situation.

I originally made my primary gamertag (MadworldET) several years ago, using my father's email address - I've been using this tag as my primary ever since and have accumulated a little over 100,000 GS and many purchases so I'm fairly attached to it to say the least. The inconvenience is, I am now 26 years old, have my own primary email account with everything MS related associated to it; Win10 PC login, cloud, contacts, etc. but this email has a dummy GT I also made years ago playing with a buddy locally at my house. So I log into my PC using my primary email address but then need to re-login to the XBOX app or MS Strore using my father's email address to ensure any purchase or progression is tied to my primary GT. It's a little convoluted but to make it simple:

Father's Email address is associated with my Primary GT.
My Primary Email address is associated with an old unused GT.

Obviously, I want my Primary Email and Primary GT linked. So I need to get rid of the GT currently associated with it, and move my Primary GT.

Some additional information:

• I cannot utilize the Alias function because both emails have a GT associated.
• I've been told I cannot un-link the GT with my primary account without closing the account completely.
• Chat support suggested I make a new email address to link my Primary GT to but think this would only reproduce the underlined situation above.
  • I realize I could make a new account and migrate everything to it and then update all of my contacts, accounts linked to email, applications, etc with my new email information, but am hoping that's not the only solution as it'd be quite an effort for what I believe should be a simple migration.
• I understand the security concern here, but am willing to comply with any requests for proof of ownership tied to either account; Anything from basic account information to photo ID, I wouldn't mind providing this, and can appreciate that these rules are here to protect us.

Any solution or escalation path I can pursue that's more efficient than starting from scratch with a new email address?

changing email address associated with xbox

I had the saem problems as Fossal, after finally speaking to someone, they said I had to make another email address which had to be active for 30 days, then transfer the unsued GT off the email address I use every day so it had no GT associated to it, and then to move my gamertag that I use to my email address I use.

Problem was, wasw tht the email address my GT was associated to had bee nhacked and was a pain to access as they kept blocking it. So I gave up in the end!

To keep Microsoft account 2 and Gamertag A, you will need to make another move. However, to complete a complete swap between the two original Microsoft accounts, you must wait 30 days as a security measure. After 30 days, switch 'Gamertag A' from Microsoft
account 3 to Microsoft account 2!
