Move Xbox account from parent Microsoft account to child’s account

Hi. When I originally set up the xbox for my son I used my own MS account. I now wish to move his games, gamer tag etc to his MS account without him losing his games, his xbox live and the progress in each game. I’ve had a good look on the xbox and also
from the Microsoft accounts but I can’t see any obvious way to do this. He was young when we got the xbox so never had his own account. I imagine this won’t be too rare a question.

    Thanks for any advice

    Stephen

    :)

Move Xbox account from parent Microsoft account to child’s account

    Hello Stephen,

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. I'm sorry to inform you the option to transfer saved data, achievements and any/or game purchases from another Microsoft Account will not be possible. We currently do not have an available feature. The one
step we have available is changing the primary email on the Microsoft account.
You can however set up home consoleon your main profile.
Note:If you choose to remove an alias that uses a Microsoft domain such as @hotmail.com, @outlook.com, or @live.com, that alias will be completely deleted and will not be available to sign in to any Microsoft
services. A microsoft and Xbox account are one and the same. As there is nothing more I will be locking this thread.

    Hope this helps.

Parental Consent Why you're being asked for parental consent

If the date of birth on your Microsoft account shows that you're under a certain age, Xbox is required to request parental consent for you to use Xbox Live.

If you're an adult, but you got a message asking for parental consent, it's because you're a child in your Microsoft family.

    Solution

If you're of an age that requires parental consent, follow the steps on your Xbox to have your parent sign in and add you to their Microsoft family.

If you're over the age requiring parental consent, have your parent remove you from the family. They'll have to sign in to
account.microsoft.com/family, select your profile, and select
    Remove.

If you're unable to clear the message, contact Xbox Support.
