Move son to his own account

My son has grown up and we both want him on his own Xbox and Microsoft account, with his own credit card. He has purchased a few games we would like to transfer, but we will still move forward if we lose them.

How do I move him off of my Microsoft account and onto his own? I want to make sure his profile and what he has saved survives the process.

Basically there is no way to transfer purchases or game progress to different accounts.

The only thing that you can do is change the email address that is associated with the account.

If it is a MS server email that is currently on the account (outlook.com, Hotmail.com, live.com, msn.com) and you say add his email to the account then make it the primary email on the account then remove your email from the account you would lose access
completely to that account if it Is one of the MS server emails.

Otherwise you would be able to change the email used to sign into the account but if you have any purchases on your account then they would stay attached to that account and you would need to start your own account.

Hi there, iam sorry but you cant transfer games and progress to a different account but you could make the account home xbox so on his new account he can play the same games and share gold from the first account and thanks for more support about home xbox

bought all games on my own account and my child or my wife do the same, so all can play on Xbox or PC with their account "my" games (Home console). This year, my Xbox One X will go to my son like his console and me on Series X. He will lost all previous games

Again, i understand, but you can't transfer content between different account, sorry.
