    Move saved games to sons new profile


    Hi,

    Let me outline what I want to do:

    I have years ago when my son got his xbox set this up against my MS account and he has been using this since. He is now more mature and has his own MS account. Adding this as a child into the family on the Xbox one was easy. However all his worlds in Minecraft
    and achievements in games are not available in the new profile.

    Here is the question:

    How can these be moved across (I don’t want to have copies, I want them to go to the new gamer tag linked to the new account).,

    Can't get Minecraft to start!!

    Fixed this issue finally. In addition to the above instructions I had to move my sons profile to a USB stick since Xbox hides game info in the profile. Lost all saved game data but it works again. This is a BUG.

    merging gamertags

    Saved games are licensed to the specific gamertag that it was saved on, there is no way to merge the content to a new gamertag. If you'd like though, you can download the old gamertag over to the new console:

    support.xbox.com/.../profile-move-delete     which will bring over your achievements and allow access to the saved games that you've transferred over.

    Ah,I see.If they shared the same profile then there's nothing you can do,you can't split a game save.

    If they have separate profiles then you would need a compatible usb drive & move the saves for his profile onto that & then onto the new consoles hard drive.

    A transfer cable moves everything,you cant just move specific items as far as I know.

    Saves are profile specific & can't be moved from one profile to another so the son moving to the new console would only be able to move/use the saves linked to his profile.

    You will need to make a new profile for your Son. The Game saves are tied to profiles so if you create a new one he will have a separate save.

    Hey DECROMAX,

    You sure can move your entire profile to a different console. For any downloadable content you will need to redownload to the new console. Your profile you will redownload, As for game saves and game data you can move them to a flash drive and then to the
    new console or I think you move game saves and data over the cloud.
