Move Save Games from Internal HDD to External Storage

Is it possible to move save games from the internal hard drive to an external hard drive? If it is possible, how do I do it?

You can't use external storage initially. However, you can move your games onto external storage once they have been downloaded. Your internal 4 GB is just flash memory for things like system updates and other system files. It's not really meant to hold
any games. Buy an internal HDD from Microsoft--not eBay.

Move your saves to your internal storage. Remove 360 storage from the device and reconfigure. Move saves back and reinstall the game.

 

Yes it is. Go to my games and apps and scroll down to games. Highlight the game you want to move the press the menu button and it should give you the option to move it. Also if you plan on using the external hdd as the default drive you want everything stored
on you should go to settings, system, and select manage storage device and make it your default. you can use this method too for moving saved data as well.

Will copying the game from the internal to external move the save games as well as the installed game? When I try to manage the game it just shows the installed game and not the save data.

 

Ok so... I plugged my external drive into my console and it reformatted, now how do i undo that. I want to plug it back into my computer and put my stuff back on it! it will find the drive in the Devices and Printers, and said the driver needs updating and
it wont update, it doesnt come up in my computer so i cant just simply right click reformat. i thought this latest update would allow me to to watch my own content using the drive on my xbox one?

Right click on the My Computer icon on your desktop and select manage from the menu. A new window will open that will have a section called disk management. Does your external show up here? If it does it can be formatted or you can assign it a drive letter
that will not conflict with your other drives.

 

I'm attempting to move all storage from internal to external, but when I go to manage storage and select the external there is no option to set as default, only view & format. Any suggestions?
