Move or copy purchased movies saved to Xbox 360 hard drive to Xbox one hard drive

Move or copy purchased movies saved to Xbox 360 hard drive to Xbox one hard drive.

I have a lot of movies that I purchased using an xbox 360 and saved them to an external 2GB USB 2 hard drive. My Internet connection is very poor and I have a data cap that is why I saved the movies to hard drive to be able to watch them without using the
    Internet.

I now have an Xbox one and want to transfer the saved movies from my Xbox 360 external 2GB USB 2 hard drive to my Xbox one 4GB USB 3 external hard drive without having to re-download all the movies.

I can plug either one of the hard drives into either one of the X boxes and use the move or copy function?

The trouble might be that the Xbox one will not recognize the USB 2 external drive from the Xbox 360? I have not tried plugging it in.

So it would seem and therefore I am asking can plug in the 4GB USB 3 External drive from the Xbox one into the Xbox 360 and use the Xbox 360 move or copy function to transfer movies from the Xbox 360 2GB USB2 external drive to the Xbox one USB 3 External
Drive and then have the movies able to play on the Xbox one from that external USB 3 drive?

    :)

From what I've read, you should be able to use the 3.0 and the copy/move function with the 360 to get the media onto the drive, which should then work on the Xbox One.

The Xbox One won't recognize the USB 2.0 drive - it's not compatible.

Can you transfer installed xbox 360 games to another hard drive using a transfer cable?

This is from the Xbox page.

Transfer the fun to your new Xbox 360®. The hard drive transfer cable moves content from any Xbox 360 or hard drive to your new Xbox 360 S or Xbox 360 hard drive. Easily transfer HD movies, music, saved games, player profiles, and even full games installed
on your hard drive. Plus, use the cable over and over if you choose to get a new console or hard drive again in the future.

    Burned DVDs not working? fix?

It copies the movie to my Hard Drive then writes it on the DVD. I played it on the 360 with no issues. SO I have to assume its the Xbox One.

    trasferimento licenze - license Transfer

    Hello Dragoon,

Things to know before you transfer content

    Warning

Before you use the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Kit, please read the user's guide included with the kit.

You can move all content from one Xbox 360 Hard Drive (referred to as the "source hard drive") to another Xbox 360 Hard Drive (referred to as the "destination hard drive"). The content from the source hard drive overwrites the content on the destination
    hard drive.

Once the transfer is complete, the original content on the destination hard drive is replaced with all the content from the source hard drive and the content on the source hard drive is erased.

    Movie rentals

Movies you have rented on the source hard drive will not be available after the transfer. Make sure to watch all Zune movie rentals before you use the Hard Drive Transfer Kit.

Using the Hard Drive Transfer Kit

Warning With any transfer, there is a slight risk that some or all of your content might be lost during the process. Microsoft is not liable for any loss of content that results from the transfer process.

Only one hard drive can be connected to your Xbox 360 console at a time. The transfer cable cannot be used to connect multiple hard drives to your console at the same time.

    Not enough space problem

How do you move a movie file to the internal hard drive?

The Xbox usually can't store media files on it's internal storage.

Instead, why don't you just attach an USB drive with all your movies to the console and play them from the USB drive? You can manage your movies much easier that way on your PC/Laptop, and just plug in the USB hard drive, and play your movies on the console
from there. No need to copy, move and manage your movies from the limited Xbox interface.
