move my son's xbox stuff off my account

Ok, I am one of the minions of parents who years ago setup their child's xbox stuff on their own email and now that he's an adult I am trying to move it to his email but apparently from what I found so far there is no way to do that. If true, well, that's
just asinine, sorry. I added his email to the account, made it primary, but if I remove my email address it looks like it cannot be used anywhere else ever. It sucks that you can't get a hold of anyone to see if this is true. But assuming it is, is the opposite
possible, that is, can I just move all my stuff off my account and create another one? I've had that email for 20 years+ now and it has all my history in email as well as some Microsoft certifications I passed and more. I really would rather not lose all
that. I don't care what the terms of agreement are, there should absolutely be a way for a parent to move that xbox stuff when their child becomes an adult and you shouldn't have to jump through endless hoops to just get a simple answer. That's all just poor.
Apologies for the harsh tone, but this just shouldn't be so frustrating, I mean I can't even find the right category to pick, this type of issue doesn't seem to be listed so sorry of this is in the wrong location.

I take it this is a Microsoft email such as outlook or Hotmail. This is a problem, that email is the account name so we cannot change that and we cannot move that content to another account. You used to actually be able to move this to another email
using the Xbox 360 but they stopped this several years ago. As the previous poster suggested the home xbox option will allow you to share this to another account.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We see you have question on transferring data. Unfortunately, you are unable to transfer games, data, etc. from one account to another. Doubt this will ever change as it is way too much hassle to move all
data from one account to another. You can however set up home consoleon your profile
so your son is able to access all the games on his new profile. Only downside he will need to start over on the games.

As you already added his email as primary personally I would leave yours on. The only thing you will get is notification emails when a purchase is made. If your email is an outlook, Hotmail, or other Microsoft domain yes it will be deleted if you remove
the email entirely.

the gamertag/Xbox account which IS the Microsoft account are basically one in the same, nothing can be transferred.

your son with have to have a new account made and then if you leave the Xbox set as your home Xbox he can still access any digital games purchased on your account with his new account..

Thank you, that is very helpful. Do you know if I can move my XBOX Live subscription off of my account to one of my son's accounts? I don't let them play with my account, because then they would have no screen time limits.
