    Move gamertag


    My son has been playing ebox under my husbands email and microsoft account.

    My son has his own microsoft account and would like to move his gamertag and game progress to his own microsoft account.

    Is this possible?

    You can not change the Microsoft account associated with a gamertag until 30 days after creation.

    Hello. I recently made a 3rd MS account to put this gamertag onto. However when I try to move it it says it cant change it. I downloaded this account to my xbox by the way.

    Moving Gamertag

    Hi there!

    You may only have one Xbox Live Account per Microsoft Account.

    You cannot stack accounts. In regards to your randomly generated gamertag, you have the ability to change it once for free.

    I'd advise using the xbox.com website when handling account editing as the console can sometimes be unreliable..

    You have to remove him as family member in the account settings. After that you can create an another gamertag with a new email adress.

    I believe you may have to remove him as family member in the account settings and create an email for his account.

    before we start listing any ideas you may have tried, what have you done? Have you gone into your account settings and tried switching the email address used?
