    Hello, i moved Forza Horizon 5 to another drive from xbox app. Seems it copied, because i have 2 FH5 files one in C and one in D. Can i delete files safely from earlier location?

    Hey Cartzy. That wasn't the answer, but it's okay. I deleted the folder from the old location and the game still works.

    Steam games and GamePass games, go into 2 very different folders. The game pass folders are often locked away or hidden. There is an option to do a "move" from one drive to another, but that's the only option.

    you cloned the drive with the gamepass games on before correct, if so that broke the encryption and you need to clear the gamepass folders from the drive and start over, they are encrypted when installed, they also take the hdd hardware signature and size and partition info into account.

    what you could have done, is connect the new drive and setup as storage then moved the games over using the move feature in the programs and features menu.
