Dear all,

I would like to disconnect my email address from the xbox account (or move the account to a different email address)

2 preconditions:

1. the Microsoft account stays connected with my email address

2. the Xbox scores and settings should be preserved

Is that possible?

Deleting an xbox live account

You cannot delete an Xbox Live account (Gamertag), but what you will need to do is move the Gamertag to a different Microsoft Account (email address), to free up the email address you want.

So you will need to move the old account to a different email address by following the steps in the link Maxen13 provided that will then free up your email address and you can then switch your gamertag to your email address and free up your brothers email
address if he wants to use it to make an account.

If you want to change the email address associated with you xbox account that goes for your MS account as well.

As you see the scores will stiil be present yet you MS account will be associated with the new email

I´ve seen that posting, but that is not exactly what I want. The MS account should still be associated with the current email account, only the Xbox account should be connected to a new email...

So if I understand correctly, you would prefer your new xbox live account moved to the old email address. Correct?

The only way to remove a gamertag from an email address is by moving it to a different email address (Microsoft Account), but in order to do so, the account must be on a console for at least 30 days without it being downloaded in that period.

Besides that, replacing it with the new one, will also result in loss of the balance on the current account, since that would need to be moved too.

No worries. You'll need to create a dummy email address to move the tag off of your msn.com address. Then just follow the instructions at the link below to move the other gamertag to the msn address.
