    Have you ever tried to play The Sega Genesis Classics Collection with the original "arcade layout" or 2 rows of 3 buttons, either with a Hori Fight Pad or any fight stick?

    Have you noticed that fast forward and rewind are assigned to L and R, are horizontal neighbors, prevent both rows from having 3 consecutive buttons for gaming, and find there's no movibg the triggers, except swapping for each other.

    I understand this design. Triggers are by default analog, and gameplay problems may occur if they are digitized.

    There should be an "all digital button mode so that this problem doesn't happen with the Sega Genesis collection or other fight stick issues.

    I don't know Xbox accessability team to know whether there are handicaps that have to be best accommodated with all digital controls. If there are, then there should be no issues, because that is an issue already anyway.

    Funny thing happens when I write to Sega asking him to fix this obvious bug in the Sega Genesis collection. They'll either write a standardized thank you that looks like a bot wrote it, or they'll say they don't accept ideas for new games.

    Isn't the idea of the Xbox controller OS so that you don't have to rely on publishers and developers to think of accessibility options? "Let's do it at the system level."?

    As a tangent since a lot of independent Xbox publishers are also Nintendo Switch publishers, Nintendo only allows button swapping for their joycons and nothing else. I for one am glad that Xbox allows remapping on all controllers, (except for the three specific oversights I mentioned.)

    The digital content on Xbox 360 is movable from the console to the PC, although it's console-locked to the one that was bought for. Whereas PS3 doesn't allow at all to copy games from the HDD to the USB/HDD.

    "all digital mode" for button remapping.

    There are only 2 predefined settings that are uneditable on Sge Genesis Classics, and I was under the default control scheme in the Xbox 1 Joystick OS.

    If this is the fight stick arrangement, and assuming buttons and triggers are not cross mappable:

    B B B B

    B B T T

    Becuase the triggers are only swappable with each other and are always > and <, ut’s impossible to remap to get this:

    B B B T

    B B B T

    Even with the Xbox One Joystick OS

    The only way you can do it is to make an "all digital mode" where the triggers are remappable as digital buttons both to and from the triggers.

    Also what about the flip X axis on analog sticks?

    Well, if we really want to see how MS and Sony treat digital we need to wait for the 360 and PS3 to not be supported anymore.

    Sony told you to back it up with the PSP, so I assume they'll do the same for the PS3

    Fight stick issues with adaptive cobtroller.

    The issues might be with my particular fight stick, because it's "double wired," to alternate between right and left handed fighting.

    I noticed that there are certain pairs that always get flipped 2 buttons actuate when one 3.5mm cable plugged in.

    I will do live diagnostic troubleshooting Q and A on Twitch.tv/tripletopper to show this phenomenon. My joystick builder wants to see it.

    I will go live at 9PM Eastern today. So you guys can see.

    Also the Xbox accessories app makes impossible to switch a trigger with a non trigger unless the game itself allows it.

    And the arrangement of the joystick puts the Genesis formation at a row of 4 buttons and a row of 2 if your triggers are rewind and fast forward. And tgere is no way to get around that.

    If Microsoft had an option in Xbox Accessories called "All digital button mode". Then any button can be freely mapped with any other button.

    A button and a d pad direction can be remapped without concerns for Simlutaneous Opposite Cardinal Directions. I can see benefits if that, but there should be a mode to enforce that.

    Yet Microsoft makes sure Analog triggers must be analog and are therefore unswappable with bumpers and buttons.

    How could you be okay with SOCD errors/bugs/cheats, yet strictly enforce analog only triggers? I never heard of "digitized trigger cheating". But I heard of SOCD cheating. Hitbox built a brand around SOCD cheating. But I never heard of the Digitized Trigger cheat.

    It can be data corruption, but yes, it’s all software errors triggering protect mode based in your description.
