  1. Motorola NVG589 Open NAT issue + laggy Hulu

So long story short. Bought a house. House not wired for Ethernet. Have Uverse installed w/ wireless router (make and model listed above). Don't have a wireless card for my Xbox 360 (original not s model), so bought a Asus EA-66 access point/bridge so
I can eventually run a switch off it to connect my TV and blu-ray player, but for now its just straight from the EA-66 into the Xbox 360. Configured it as a bridge to my motorola router. I can connect to Xbox Live but gives me a NAT error and lists it as
    Moderate.

I log into the Motorola Router to setup port forwarding on the ports you need to (53, 80, 88, 3074). Herein lies the issue. When I go to open up ports 80 and 88 my router gives me a message that doing some may interfere with my Uverse DVR service. MTU
on the device is set at 1500.

    What should I do?

And in when watching Hulu through the Xbox the app keeps lagging HORRIBLY. I may get 75% through a HD episode and then the app starts buffering every 30 seconds. Using Netflix there is not this issue at all. The Access Point I have is setup properly and
has MORE than adequate bandwidth to handle the 360, and the router is also N capable, so I am not sure why Hulu is buggy.

My Motorola router is on the opposite side of the house from the access point and there is no way to hardwire things currently, or even move either device closer. With that said they are maybe 50 feet apart with one floor between them.

    Any thoughts/suggestions appreciate.

    :)

    Please help me!

    Greetings Eddie!

May I ask, have you concider to have the Motorola NVG589 to be configured in "bridge mode", where it can operate as a standard modem and then have your own choice of well-behaved router to do NAT and wireless? Preferable, a dual band router (2,4 - 5Ghz).

AT&T decides to kill the Xbox One experience

Just so you know, IPv6 with Att does not currently work properly system wide. There are some backend issues. Getting a NVG589 is not going to fix it. Also IPv6 is not even needed to connect to Xbox live. Having fully functional IPv6 right now is just a personal
choice and is not a requirement. And one other thing about the NVG589 is that it does not have UPnP built into it. Getting an open Nat on Xbox one can be difficult for people!! I know this because I have the NVG589 and the IPv6 has to be disabled on it for
things to work properly, until Att fixes the backend issues.

cannot load a live game for black ops.

    Nat Open or Restricted?

Next they are having issues cause the servers are clogged up, give it time. I had games last night that were super laggy.

    No Connection to Xbox live

I'm having the same issue as the OP. ISP is ATT UVerse and router is Motorola NVG589. Much like the OP, I've tried all of the same fixes and have a wired connection. I've used this 360 for many years without problem until this issue started yesterday.

Any additional suggestions would be appreciated? Is there a reason to do a format or full reset?
