What Country/State/Province do you live in? usa connticut

Gateway brand & gateway number:
Nvg510

How many Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles are connected to this router?: Xbox one

Wired or Wireless (for each console): Wireless

Things you have tried:
. Power cycled router for 30 seconds.
. Hard reset console for 10 seconds
. Attempted to setup static IP on console but the gateway will not accept it. Does the gateway have the ability to reserve IP addresses? If so, can someone tell me how? That way once I setup a reserved IP address for the console, I can setup DMZ afterwards.

Is UPnP Enabled? Unknown

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?:
Strict

Any Error Codes you encounter: No.

Who is your ISP? (Internet Service Provider): Used to be ATT which is now switched over to Frontier Communications.

:)

Same Issue with the Motorola NVG510 Router, gives me "Test Connection" when connecting wired or wireless!

OK, so you have the NVG510 gateway. Is it set up as shown here?

portforward.com/.../Xbox_Live_360.htm

If so, and it does not work, then I would suggest clearing away the NAT settings and reverting to UPnP Enabled.

NAT Gaming issue

Help! I have a Motorola NVG510 router/gateway - just one device. My console can connect to Xbox Live, but complains about moderate NAT. I can't play Battlefield with my friends! Thank you for any help you can give!

Not to be mean here , but that is NOT a very good router ... i'll give you a link to our hardware page on it and you can look at the "known issues" and maybe work around it...

@chalice sorry to here that's happening

here's how your gonna fix your issue try restoring the gateway back to factory defaults. this is going to get your nat table refreshed completely and getting everything a new ip address and nat info not to mention the network ssid and password go back to
defaults. I like to call this digital Alzheimer's because the gateway does remember but wants to act like it doesn't . (trying to keep it simple ;cD )

but as stated before the gateway doesn't support more then one gaming console,

not saying you have two xbox ones but your gateway sees each one as two because of the fact that it has a wired mac address and wireless mac address and or the fact that it could restart itself and re-assign a different ip address to the same device ( which
does happen from time to time )

let me know how things turn out !

like my post ? please give it a like !

Thanks for the update!
D: 169.254.139.232
As the error message stated: Your Xbox can't obtain an IP address from the DHCP server so what it does is that it makes up it's own IP address. However, this address is not routable.

Do you have the option to connect the Xbox to your wireless network?

If it's possible, could you try with a different Ethernet cable or with a different Ethernet port on your Motorola NVG510

Could you try restore your Motorola NVG510 to factory default settings. If there is a reset button of the back of your device, press and hold for 10 seconds. Otherwise there should be an option to reset the device by accessing the Motorola NVG510 web-config
page.

Post back and let us know how it goes.
