    Motion smoothing being turned on instead of Game Mode.


    I'm in the preview beta ring in the US. Whenever I start an app or game after coming out of standby mode motion smoothing is enabled instead of game mode. My TV says game mode is on but it's actually motion smoothing as the video quality and input lag make it obvious. I have to unplug and replug my TV to get it to fix itself. I have reset the TV to factory defaults and it still happens. I also lost the option for console streaming a month back and that is still gone as well.

    Two things to check, 1) does your TV have a game mode? It'll be in the picture settings I'd imagine. If it does, turn that on and it should turn off all the tv's image processing. 2) If you can't find a game mode in the settings, there'll likely be a setting
    in the picture settings called True Motion or Smooth Motion or something along those lines, turn that off and it should help. But try finding a game mode first.

    Regarding the input lag, check your settings to see if there is a game mode options as most Samsungs will have this feature. If not then turn off all smooth motion and color enhancments, this should help out with the input lag.

    Gaming on a 4K tv will take some getting used too.

    Turn off what Samsung calls "auto motion plus" or anything involving smoothing and that will get rid what is referred to as the "Soap Opera Effect"

    There also should be a game mode that can be used to lessen screen lag.
