    Motherboard damaged


    Hi I had a hdmi fault so I brought it to cex to repair, then they have sent it back with a motherboard fault and now will no longer turn on, what can I do will Microsoft still look at it

    I apologize but once the console has been tampered the warranty will be void.

    Irixion- I know this, just saying that's what happens when your Motherboard is damaged by the heat. In this case, it is the GPU that was damaged by heat.

    You probably mucked something up when you opened it. This is why you don't open your console unless you're a certified tech. Something as small as a scratch could have damaged a part of your motherboard. You could have short it with static electricity, the
    list goes on. Reset your video settings. HDMI audio out is one of the easiest things to break.
