Most Overrated Game Franchises Ever Made

I think Bioware games are overrated. I don't like their games. I haven't played ME2 or 3 but the first Mass Effect was horrible. It was so boring.

Squeenix has released hundreds of games over the years as Square and Enix being different companies, They aren't all final fantasies, FF became popular when FF7 was introduced to the general gaming world in the late 90's. Both companies prior to being 1
of the same produced some of the best rpgs since the 80's. Therefore, you Ragnarok probably don't know every rpg made by either company.

COD, stopped being fun since blops, just my opinion.

MGS, the only downfall is Ground Zeroes, Talk about a complete non game. BTW, it's free on PSN

Redeye - Zeroes is a prequel, not a full game. So many people are confused by this but it's been explained everywhere I get gaming news but for some odd reason it's still a huge point of contention.

I'm a bit surprised that some of the best games ever made were mentioned like Fallout, MGS and Mass Effect which shows that some people's taste is only in their mouth.

The FF series had some great years and for some strange reason the series derailed, why? They wanted to change up the tired grind of a group of spunky characters that run into a random encounter every 5 steps while they wander a strange land riding chocobos
and try something a little different. I agree that change was needed but it just didn't go well and it ended up a complete muckary. I wouldn't put it on this list though because it's early games, perhaps 1-10, were highly rated and deserving. Beyond that,
the FF worship stopped and people were generally confused about what was happening, which shows in the ratings, thus not "overrated".

Yes, I would be mad if I spent $50 on it but I remember reading reviews on it and that is was a short, playable preview so I waited until it was heavily discounted.

the first couple of splinter cell games where really good and the rest are i would say as being ok as i didn't like the way they changed the controls.

I love both the Splinter Cell and Metal Gear series, but wow, you can't really compare the two. I would never say that Metal Gear is over-rated. At least in my opinion, this is one of the best series on any console and the reviews anywhere you look reflect
it. MGS4 Guns of the Patriots was awesome!!

Nothing particularly comes to mind when i try to think of overrated games. If lots of people enjoy something but i don't, meh it's jut not for me, doesn't make it "overrated"...
