Mortal Kombat X won't fully install

I just got my first Xbox One S and I am trying to install Mortal Kombat X but the install keeps stopping at the same point no matter what I try. I have tried installing it on the systems drive and an external hard drive. I have tried being online, offline, accepting the update, postponing the update, and all the other suggestions that I have seen. It always stalls at 26.5% and gives me the message that it is ready to start and that the install has been stopped.

I've installed other games without any issues but this one just refuses to cooperate. Is there a way to fix this issue?

Make sure to unplug the external hard drive first. If it's a disc game, make sure that the disc is inserted. Once done, the Xbox app on your phone and search the game there. Once done, please try installing the game using the Xbox app to your console.

If other game discs are installing fine then that means, it is an issue with your disc.

Hi Pam,

I tried what you suggested and attempted the install with the external drive unplugged and the Xbox offline but it still didn't work. It got to the same point and then stopped installing from the disc. I'm not sure what else I can do to make it work.
