Mortal Kombat vs Killer Instinct?????

I'm curious to know if anyone else has been dreaming of this matchup ever since they were simultaneously popular so many years back. People have always yapped about MK vs Street Fighter but quite honestly I've always felt that Mortal Kombat vs Killer Instinct
was just more fitting. That idea is still relevant in my eyes even with the way both franchises have evolved since the old days. If no one in either studio has ever given this idea some thought, then now is the time.. Make it happen!!! lol

wont happen. sorry but mortal kombat bit the style of the combo engine on mk3 (remember KI came out before mk3 and they had combos. biting the style already?) not to mention the mechanics would be too wacky for them to even agree to a proper fighting engine.

Agree probably won't happen, especially with the how Mk is rated. I would love to see a guest character in either game tho. I also wouldn't say MK bit anyone's style because they all take inspiration from each other :-(

I think the best you can hope for is guest characters, a full blown crossover would be incredibly difficult to in regards to the fighting systems of both franchises. Only way it could work is if you did something similar to what Capcom and Namco did with
SFXT, one game done in the KI style and other done in the MK style

Lets see

Mortal Kombat had Brutalities. Killer Instincts had Ultra Combos.

Mortal Kombat had Fatalities. Killer Instinct had finishing moves or whatever they are called.

Mortal Kombat had a character that went through the ground and did an uppercut (Sektor). Killer Instincts had a guy turn into melted water and do a uppercut (Glacius).

Mortal Kombat had Mileena. Killer Instincts had Orchid.

I can go on an on but I wasn't talking about the story or the characters. I was talking more from a gameplay perspective. I'm not saying it was complete copy and paste but you use any little thing someone says to draw the most extreme conclusions which is
why you always sound foolish in the end. I'd be sure to play you so you can complain Fulgore is broken lol.

Killer Instinct is a reboot of the original, which was sort of a spinoff of Mortal Kombat, which was Japanese, I believe.

Oh yea, Killer Instinct looks cool, I almost forgot, Mortal Kombat was and still is fun. In Killer Instinct, you can play it with friends right, like how you can on mortal kombat and how many people? But I think ill pass on multiplayers, and a PS4 maybe
in the future, but ill get an xbox one first.
