Morrowind GOTY on XBOX 360

Wondering if anyone knows why I can't backup my save game from this game? If someone knows how, can they give explicit directions? Also, if the game instance can't be backed up ( I can't imagine there are any copyright infringements from backing up just
the save game instance), or even if it can, can someone tell me if I can start a new game without losing one already started? I'd like to start a new game instance without losing my old one.

morrowind backwards compatible

I know morrowind is joining the bc list but I was wondering if the goty edition will work(as it did on 360 bc)

Perhaps the wrong forum but how is Morrowind on 360?

I loved Oblivion, so I snagged a copy of Morrowind when I stumbled across it. It's not GOTY, but it's playable on the 360.

Hi there, if you can find the game save data on the hard drive, I believe you should be able to copy it to a usb using the steps here:

support.xbox.com/.../manage-games-data

Also as I've never played Morrowind, can you tell me if it lets you press start and create a manual save during the game? If this is the case, I would be 99% sure that you can have more than one game going at a time.

Just remember, if you start a game on the 360 with the original version of Morrowind, and then pick up the GOTY edition, unlike on the original Xbox, on the 360 they are not compatible. The GOTY edition will NOT recognize original edition saves, on the 360.
Unless you live overseas, it would probably be cheaper to pick up a used original xbox, than a hard drive for your 360, just to play this game.

They made "Platinum Hits" versions of both the original Morrowind and the Morrowind GOTY Edition, so "Platinum Hits" by itself does not answer your question. Adding to the confusion, the original Morrowind package includes the description "Game of the Year."
It is NOT the same thing as GOTY Edition. What you want is Morrowind "Game of the Year Edition." It will say right on the package, and right on the discs, that it includes Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon.

Game runs fine mostly.

There are frame rate issues in some areas like the Telvanni council chambers.

Personally I find Skyrim to be more similar to morrowind than oblivion although obviously Morrowinds graphics are dated.

I have the GOTY edition of Morrowind and it works fine. The expansions are built in to Morrowind GOTY and the expansions work fine. Although I will point it that i'm using the PAL UK version
