More than one refund a year?

So recently over Christmas I decided to purchase NBA 2k22, never played a 2k game before but had recently been enjoying basketball a lot more and decided to try it out. However the game is faulty for me- whenever I am leading in a game I get randomly disconnected from the game - not the 2k servers or the ms servers just the match I am in. Obviously this is quite frustrating as the games not much fun if you can only play if you are losing and so I decided I would refund the game. However I was told that I had reached the maximum amount of refunds a year which I’m assuming is one as I had already had to refund another purchase that my sibling had made using my money on the Xbox but this is the only time this year given it’s only January. This is incredibly frustrating as I’m left with a game that doesn’t work and £33 out of my wallet. I simply don’t understand why there’s a need to limit refunds other than corporate greed. Tried to contact an actual person at Microsoft for my issue but once I stated my problem I was told that only virtual assistance was available, which is completely useless. Any help with getting my money back would be appreciated especially as I’ve already been charged for game pass this month despite cancelling and am thoroughly fed up with Microsoft.
