More story line exclusive games.

Looking at ur exclusives, we dont have any gamess that soul purpose is campagin. Look at the last of us, a great PlayStation exclusive, with a perfect story line. I think we should get games like that.

Even though your character is a mercenary, which is a "job" that brings with it a range of moral depravity, your mission is seemingly noble - kill a gun runner who is profiting by furthering the conflict between two warring factions. The Jackal's actions are
directly related to the deaths of thousands and the destabilization of an entire nation.

So, killing him seems like the right thing to do, but at what cost? If I have to kill hundreds in order to get one man, is it worth it? If I have to become as evil and wicked as he is in order to get to him, what does that say about me? By adopting an "any
means necessary" approach you become just like the Jackal.

What I appreciate the most about this game's story is how it directly relates to the real world. (For example, the hunt for OBL) There are "Jackals" all over the world. And while most of us are not gun runners or mercenaries there are situations we all face
as human beings in which the question of "but at what cost?" forces us to evaluate our character.

That part of Far Cry 2 really hit home with me.

The voice acting was superb. It has one of the best voice acting casts since probably GTA: San Andreas. But idk about the story itself. It felt like any typical undercover officer story. It has literally all the same twists, turns and obvious betrayals etc

[/quote]It is True Crime Hong Kong, the game got bought but not the rights to the true Crime franchise. and yes, while the story does have cliche moments, it left me wondering right up until the end which way would Wei go, Would he remain a cop? Would he
lose himself in the cover and become a triad? Would I get to make the choice? And some of those last scenes were just freaking awesome to play out.

 

It shouldn't matter which part of the game is the "sole" purpose as long as the game itself is fun...

 

What? It's been awhile but Alan Wake was a great game (most just overlooked it). I'm sure Quantum Break will be good as well, that's at the top of my "wants" list.

 

I think the OP is referring to currently released games though... I almost suggested AC4, but then I realized he was referring to exclusives... :|

 

Ryse has a pretty mesmerizing campaign. Just saying.

Bah, The Last of Us is really overrated.

 

Last of us wasn't anything mind blowing. Not saying it was a bad game or anything. Depends what you like it a campaign too. Halo has good campaign. Or There lots of MS games coming out next year. Over 1 billion dollars spent. MS said. Quantum break has
my Eye.

It needs a good solid RPG and wouldn't mind some sim/rts games but hey ho i wouldn't mind a game that lasts more than 10 hours because it's great fun to play (DR3 took a pretty good shot, need to get back to that lol) rather than having to play beyond 10
hours because they've packed it up with collectables or achievements that require 2nd n 3rd runs of the game :/

 

I want to play "The Last of Us"...looks really good. I expected Alan Wake to be better than it was. The story-line was really hard to follow at a certain point and then I was like HUH? at the end. I guess there was some dlc that had a more coherent explanation
for what happened, but I didn't bother to download it. Once I was done, I was done.

 

As a big fan of Uncharted, I plan to play The Last of Us one day, for review purposes most likely. I've always been curious, but my loathing for zombie games has kept my interest minimal.

 

I don't know about 'exclusive story focused games' but it would be nice to get some more of these in. E3 is just around the corner so we will have to see what they throw on our plates. It doesn't bother me so much that games are exclusive, so long as the
game is great then I don't care what platforms they are on. Some titles are nice to be exclusive, don't get me wrong.
