More positive news: $399 Xbox Ones "Flying Off The Shelves" at GameStop

Will a game streaming service actually work well? I'm not just talking about PS, more in general. Wouldn't this be a bit of a pain if you haven't got a super quick internet? Also, what happened to onlive, is it still going??

 

yep i think it is rental mgzin you rent a game and play it i know the service will charge and yes you will need a good net if you are streaming games. i cant stream on twitch and i have a 60mb/6mb connection super fibre optic i can stream single player games
but not online i lag too much so yes u will need a good net

 

PSNow has already been tested on a 15Mbps service and worked fine.

N7 being negative about a service that is just trying to bring games that the ppl who switched over from the 360 have not played to said ppl

How N7 gets all his inside info is to awesome.....must be a CIA special agent.

 

The best anyone get's where I am is about 5mbps. Fibre optic is many years away.

Week ending 7th June North America sales = 25,642. The number has dropped. I think its safe to say they are not "flying" of the shelves.

And before anyone says "that only includes 2 days of kinectless sales", The NPD figures for WiiU for the 2 days of Mario Kart 8 show what can be done in 2 days.

I actually said it " has a massive power brick whilst the PS has its internally." But I did say it LAST YEAR.

 

great news xbox one is cheaper will sell well even tho its selling great at the min.also with all the updates new things and games coming its defo good to be a gamer

 

I reckon full Cloud storage should be carefully considered for the future of saves and downloads on console. It's only going to get more and more prominent after all. Everything stored in the cloud, you wouldn't have to worry about storage running out.

 

I'm inclined to agree with you Fatal, but it may be a while before that happens as the launch of the Xbox One has shown that people are not quite ready for that because it would require an "always-online" connection in order to work how you have described
it. Essentially, it could've been a reality right now instead of the future, but many people are afraid of what that might mean or entail.

I don't think it has as much to do with fear as much as it is a lack of trust.

 

Lloydy iv seen you on the psn forums saying how the xbox one is a brick and Lloydy its easy to write something on paper and put it next to a xb1 doesnt mean that xb1 is urs i can do it to my brothers ps4 doesnt mean it is mine

 

i know microsoft can update the xb1 every month but why isnt sony doing the same this isnt a gripe btw i am just asking
