Seems to be separate from the NFL app... or just might be included with it... one more of Direct TV having the hold... and we are good to go...

XB1 NFL APP.... Going to be 60 FPS next year

Already a nice app for the XB1... was great for the last 7 games or so since release.... especially the redzone channel...

Good news... upping the frame rate to 60 FPS... I expect next years NFL season to be even better... as MS and XB release more content for it

Ok first of all from what the link at the bottom of your post shows the app only allows you to watch highlights from games. It does not in any way give you access to every NFL game in its entirety. Second of all there are next to no major TV providers that
even allow you to utilize the NFL app in it's current state at its full capacity. If you think a company like DirecTV is just going to give up their main selling push for their service then I have a bridge to sell you. Well over half of DTV customers have
DTV for NFL Sunday Ticket. DTV is just not going to give up that money. I don't care what you have read on the internet.

 

BTW.. KinectTVs contract with the NFL expires after next year and it HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED it will most likely not be renewed... I had direct TV and NFLST for 7 years.. was a waste of money.. once the RZC came out.. I stopped using it...and switched to cable....however
in that same time... MS has invested 400 million into the NFL

Redzone channel... if you have a service provider that has this.. you get it on the NFL app.. much better than watching "your" team only....

BTW cant we all agree the more content of football on the XB1.., is better for everyone?

 

Imagine if Microsoft bought Sunday ticket. Talk about console exclusive. Every Sunday I would be snapping football games all day long.

 

No matter how amazing the NFL app is on the One, I highly doubt I will ever abandon the NFL Red Zone channel.

 

Again DirecTV is not letting go of NFL Sunday Ticket so quit deluding yourself OP. Don't believe me look it up and you will see that a deal to continue to carry it on DTV was reached this past Dec. They are just ironing out the final details.

Nonetheless, yea... Direct Tv has been steadily declining in sales to comcast and such...so...not likely to give their rights up.
