there has been no indication from MS that they will change, and calling a freemium game like happy wars free to play is bad. unless MS does a radical shift we will simple get more of the same, which simply means more mediocre games, for kinect, and the same
tired exclusives we keep getting.

 

A free copy of a game I already own. Great! Why can they not give a couple of options to choose from?

Wow that's awesome! Ryse was really good. Nice little treat for those that got the Sunset bundle. I wonder if they'll do something similar with the people who get the AW/AC bundles.

 

This is a total slap in the face to Day One buyers(I am not one) Offering bundles with a free game is one thing, offering discounts is another, but completely saying screw you to those that bought the console at $500/£499 with kinect on day one is inexcusable.
Why buy the next Xbox day one? Wait a year and MS will be so desperate they will give you random free games for buying a cheaper version of their console.

Dead serious. Not fussed about discounts and bundles, but giving out random free games to people who waited over your most loyal customers alienates about good portion of their userbase. They overpriced the EU console(but they did get Fifa or Forza) and
the US got squat. While I think MS is making smart decisions with the price cut and ditching Kinect, to reward people who only just now got a specific bundle over day 1 buyers is a bad decision. To me it says that they dont care about the people who were here
day one.

Again I am not a day one buyer, just think they are going a bit overboard to catch Sony.

 

Why would they care ? Ms is a business and all they interested in is how much money they can make for their share holders. It's just about money nothing else.

Shareholders like sales right? Xbox One sold a million units day one right? Now with the next Xbox alot of people who bought day one this time are gonna hold off for a few months for when MS gets desperate and wants to boost year end sales. MS does care
about shareholders but they cant forget their initial buyers who made shareholders happy last November.

 

I just don't understand how an non advertised bonus game Is a selling point. I've never heard of it until you mentioned it. And I'm sure i still wouldn't now if I was Joe Blow on the street looking to buy a ps4 or an X1. I don't see any point in giving Ryse
away for free if it is not advertised in the deal. I bought day one and it still doesn't really bother me. I was never going to keep playing the 360 online for another year.

 

Dude, you can't expect Microsoft to NEVER offer bundles and freebies like this for fear of offending the "most loyal" customers who bought the Xbox first. I'll also add that buying the console on launch day does not make someone more or less loyal. Further,
I think brand loyalty is dumb in the first place without reason.

In any case, this is supposed to be a decade-long generation, and if everyone keeps getting all mad just because Microsoft gives some people a gift, just because they think Microsoft somehow owes them for buying a console on launch day as opposed to a year
later, it's going to be an even sillier generation than it already has been with all the resolution arguments.

@24 the shareholders weren't happy last year and aren't likely to be now, the x1 didn't sell anywhere near what they were expecting.
