If the profile on the Xbox console is causing the game issue, then the game profile data may be corrupted. You can fix this by removing that profile from the console and downloading it again. To remove your profile:

Select Profile & System > Settings > Account > Remove Accounts.
Select the account you want to remove (the one experiencing the gameplay issue) and select Remove.
Now download your profile again to create a new version of your profile data:

Press the Xbox button to open the panel.
Select Profile & System, select Add or Switch, then select Add New.
Enter the email address and password you use to access your Microsoft account (the same account you just removed).
Important Make sure you don't select Get a new account unless that's what you want to do. If you select Get a new account, you will create a new Microsoft account.

Follow the prompts as the console guides you through account setup steps, such as privacy information, sign-in, and color preferences, until you return to the Home screen.
After completing the process of recreating your profile on the Xbox console and returning to the home screen, try to play the game again.

Clear local save and resync to cloud:
It's possible that your game's local save has been corrupted. In that case, deleting the local save and re-syncing to the cloud might fix the issue.

First, delete the local save:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide, and select My Games & Apps > See All > Games.
Highlight the game title and press the Menu button on your controller.
Select Manage Game & Add-ons > Save Data.
Select Delete All to remove the local save for this game and follow the instructions.
After deleting the locally saved game, restart the console:

Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of the controller.
Select Restart Console and follow the prompts.
After restarting your Xbox, re-sync your game saves to the cloud. Your game saves are automatically stored in the cloud while you are connected to the Xbox service.

Try playing the game again to see if resynchronizing with the cloud fixed the game issue.
