I have had this problem once and all in all, the solutions have just been given. Log off your account and reboot the console (sometimes it's enough as for many other problem), check on https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders/

and/or

https://support.xbox.com/en-US/my-account/manage-gamertag-and-profile/viewing-and-managing-your-memberships

Try hard restarting your xbox one and try again

To hard restart:

Turn off your Xbox One Via the power button on the console hold it for 10 seconds.

Once the indicator lights on the front of the Xbox One and the console's power brick are off, unplug the power brick from the back of your console.

Wait at least 30 seconds.

Plug the power brick back into your Xbox One and turn it on

The 7 months of Gold would be converted to Ultimate as well. So for example, if you were to add 3 months of Ultimate, the Gold would be converted and you would have at total of 10 months of Ultimate. There would be no additional payments for the 7 months.
