    Move Child to own account

    My son is now in college and I want him to create his own Microsoft account.

    He has his own xbox at college and we have an xbox at home.

    My children that are still at home can not use our xbox live subscription on our home xbox without causing the xbox at college to log out of our account.

    can my adult son at college move his gamertag to his own account?

    or.... is there some way for both xboxes to use the same live account simultaneously?

  3. Those upset about family sharing, you didn't lose much.

    Didn't Major Nelson say that my son who's at college would see Halo in his library and play the full game online and get achievements ?

    If you have him on your friends list, you can see when he last logged in. I think that is about all you can do as I have never heard of an option that allows you to see how much time somebody has been online. There is, however, another option if you have
    xbox rewards. While I am not 100 percent certain if this is still something they do, it used to be that xbox rewards would send you a synopsis of the games you played and how long you played them. If he has xbox rewards and you can access his email you may
    be able to see the time played through that.

  6. Mr Akurit XIZE -- Believe it or not but a lot of parents pay for their children's college tuition and feel they have the right to make sure that their child is actually attending classes instead of goofing off and wasting their hard-earned money. In the
    future please leave offensive comments off these boards.

    I would worry more about what he is doing while not on XBL....... It's very easy to see how well a student is doing in school.

    I somehow find Angels rebuttle a bit offencive but, opinions are not part of support including the above statement. If a student is playing games while not in class how is that anyones business????

    @Angel

    That should be judged by grades, not Xbox time. If their son plays Xbox 10 hours a day but gets good grades then why should they care? If they are paying they should have access to his records, which is FAR more important than the time he spends playing
    games.

  9. My comment is neither offensive nor an opinion; it is how many parents do actually feel. A lot of parents worry about children blowing off classes and don't fully understand the nature of programs like Whiteboard that provide up-to-date statistics and grades.

    Regardless Mr. "Bong" support threads are not the place to publicly attack an Ambassador.
