Monitor sitting on top of xbox one?

Grab a plank, or big book, stack some books or games either side of the console, put the big book or plank on top, sit the monitor on that, done. {XD

If it stops working, come back and let us know so we'll know not to do that.

There won't be a problem, but, just... don't do that. Why would you do that? lol

Buy or bodge together a monitor arm for your desk or something. Buy a screen riser. Or build a little cover/shelf out of three pieces of wood, with breathing room for the One (or 360 I dunno), and a place to sit for your monitor on top. Why would you stack
something on top of something you paid a couple of hundred quid for? Are you hoping the scratches and markings on top will up the resale value for the future? {=[

I want to use my Kinect, but I play on a monitor that sits on a computer desk. I'm half a foot from the Xbox and a foot from the monitor.

Once I get one for the Living room, I'll definitely give it a shot.

I sit at a desk with the Kinect sat directly in front of me, about 2 feet away, at the base of my iMac. Once, calibrated it works fine for recognising my face for sign in and I have no problem with voice commands. The only real issue is the "make sure the
Kinect can see the floor" during the set up as the desk may get in the way but this isn't the end of the world.

Don't expect to be able to use the body gestures though. I don't think I've ever been able to effectively (probably because Kinect can't see the floor). You could probabley fix this by buying a Kinect wall or TV mount have having it at a higher point of
view facing down. There aren't all that many Kinect only games and unless it says on the box, you will NEVER be forced to use Kinect. Just check the box before you buy but the only games that require it are things like Kinect Sports and Just Dance.
