Monitor showing red horizontal lines and screen stuttering

It’s not something you can fix, and it’s not some thing, assuming that you could even find someone that fixes monitors, and has the parts to do it

Assuming it’s not in warranty, You can try contacting the manufacturer of it, and see what they might be able to do, but I’m not optimistic that any of it will be worth your time

Also happens with no source at all, meaning the OSD menu. Is this something easy to replace or should I send it to an expert?

Sounds like a bad scaler if it’s with all sources. You’ll have to replace it

Are you trying to open the door with the red marks? If so move you character with the attacks while aiming at the red lines. For vertical lines just to power attacks, for horizontal lines move left or right doing a power attack. Hope this helps.

Can you please try some of the following suggestions and let us know if they are possible to do or help you in some way to fix this issue.

Have you tried to reset your console's display settings?



Remove any discs from the disc tray.

Turn off the console.

Turn on the console.

Note: If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn on the console by using the Guide button on the controller. Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller will have the upper-left light illuminated.

As the console starts, on the controller, press and hold Y while pulling the right trigger. The display settings are reset to the default settings, and then the console automatically restarts.

If that doesn't work and your still getting these horizontal lines on the top half of the TV then try to use a different set of cables or a different input if available and see if that makes any sort of difference.

If available, can you also try to take this same XBOX 360 to another TV and try to see if these horizontal lines continue on the other TV?

If this issue only persists on your TV and not another one, it's likely that it's an issue with the TV, if it still persists even after switching cables, inputs, and TV sets then it's likely that your XBOX 360 console needs to be repaired. If that is the case,
it can be done here.
