Monitor refreshrate

Hi There!

recently i have got HP OMEN Z4D33AA 27” gaming monitor with 165hz and 1ms G-sync 2k for my
XBOX ONE X

when i went to settings, i found that no refresh rate options are displayed,

I need to make sure that im playing with 120 fps games, also want to know if not all monitors are
compatible with Xbox one x

With the Xbox One X, the max frame rate for most games is 60fps with some exceptions going to 80fps or around there but check your actual monitor settings but as I say no Xbox one games are about 80fps. With the Xbox series, X is where your monitor is
going to be crisp.

^^ Most tv's are 50/60 hz, but different mags say optimal graphics//refreshrate should be at least 120hz. I did see an awesome tv a while back that was 480hz, but it was almost 4,000 euro.

Yes, I understand that.

But there is a reason that countries with 50Hz power also has 50Hz refreshrates for tv - interference flicker in picture.

But maybe that was more relevant in the analog days?

I thought maybe anybody had hands on experience with that - running games at 60Hz when power is 50Hz?

If you have fluorescent lighting that goes with power 50Hz and a display at 60Hz may cause interference and fatigue for eyes.

Hi there,

if it is indeed 30Hz then it might be an issue since it's not a common refreshrate for TVs, but you can change resolution and frame rate via the steps shown on this link:

Hopefully you will be able to adjust the settings for your best experience.
