    Hi all,

    I'm experiencing a weird problem. I hooked up my Xbox One with my (pc-) monitor (Samsung Syncmaster P2770). I've never had problems with this monitor, but recently I use it for my Xbox One, connected through HDMI. In various games and also the standard menu
    etc, the monitor shuts down and reboots in a few seconds. I've already set up my monitor and the xbox so that i manually choose my monitor/input.

    Sometimes nothing happens for hours, then randomly a few times in half an hour, etc. I checked my cables, and see no pattern in long hours in one session (heating up etc).

    Does anyone have/had this problem, or knows what might be the cause and how to solve it?

    Would be much appreciated, it ruined a perfect 'perfection' on Halo MCC just now. (And with Forza Horizon 2 I don't have to explain what happens when screen goes black for 3 seconds Monitor reboots randomly when connected to Xbox One with HDMI ;))

    Xbox one and HD BenQ Monitor

    Hi all.

    We are having an issue with a new BenQ 24" monitor and our Xbox one. The Xbox works quite happily with the TV via hdmi. But when connected to the monitor, the monitor doesn't display anything and therefore have a blank screen.

    The BenQ works on my brothers Xbox one but not mine!! Any ideas greatly appreciated.

    Connected to pc monitor

    i connected my xbox one s to my pc motiror with a vga to hdmi adaptor...when i turn it on the pc monitor can't "read" the xbox...what i should do??(my monitor is an Acer and i have it since 2010)

    OpKrop, have you ruled out the possibility it's a faulty Xbox by connecting the console to a different screen (such as your TV) using a different cable too ? If you do this and experience no problem then you're left with the possibility that it's a faulty
    monitor or cable, or a display configuration problem.

    The Xbox One S will run at 4K if the monitor does 4K@60Hz. When connected via HDMI, the HDMI port on the monitor must be at least version 2.0.

    According to the product sheet, you should be able to get 4K@60Hz if you connect the Xbox to the HDMI 2.0 port on the monitor.

    The other two HDMI ports, "HDMI 1.4" and "HDMI 1.4(MHL)" will not support 4K@60Hz, and the Xbox will likely default to 1080p.

    I'm saying that HDMI to displayport adapters are pointless to use, and if you were to use one , you'll still only be getting 60hz.

    you want to connect the HDMI port of the Xbox console to a HDMI port on the monitor or TV for the best outcome,

    because the Xbox One X does not have a displayport on the console, you can't go displayport to displayport,

    so the only choice is HDMI to HDMI, i personally would not go HDMI from the console to displayport on the monitor via an HDMI to displayport adapter,

    when connecting to a monitor it's best to go straight...

    HDMI to HDMI

    or

    Displayport to Displayport

    never

    HDMI to Displayport via an adapter.

    Hello LivelyComa62, first of all, Happy New Year!!! ^^

    To connect your Xbox one on a pc screen you need to have a HDMI cable and a monitor with a HDMI. If your monitor doesn`t have a HDMI port you can use an adapter HDMI to DVI or HDMI to VGA and connect the Xbox to the adapter and the adapter to the monitor.

    I'm having same issue when switching inputs on pc monitor. Xbox reboots when i switch while av audio dongle and hdmi are plugged in. If only hdmi is connected, xbox does not reboot but i need the av audio dongle for sound. This is Driving me quite mad and
    i'm hoping that there is a fix for this. Spent hours looking into this but have found no answers. Please someone at Xbox help us out with this issue. There are many of us.

    Just a thought but could using the toslink port on back of xbox for sound solve this?? Any info is greatly appreciated.
