Monitor not recognizing Xbox One X randomly (not a monitor problem)

    Good Evening,

So as the title says, my monitor is not recognizing the Xbox anymore. Yesterday the monitor had a hiccup so i unplugged the HDMI from the back of the Xbox, plugged it back in, and it worked. Today i woke up, turned on the Xbox and nothing.
Its obvious that the monitor is trying to receive the signal because the light indicates that it comes out of sleep mode. Also, when I plug my laptop into the monitor via HDMI it works just fine. This all leads me to believe that its the output on the Xbox.
Which sucks, because i am currently not home i am working on the road traveling for the Military. This happened randomly i have been using this monitor for over a month. Its an ONN brand monitor.

Yes - I am plugged into the right HDMI port

Yes - I have checked the cable and made sure its plugged in properly

Yes - The Xbox and monitor are both turned on

Yes - I did a hard and cool reset on the Xbox

Yes - I have tried multiple times to get this to work (plugging/unplugging, reversing the cable and trying different sides in different ports)

    :)

    X1X Not Supporting 1080p@120hz on AW2518HF

Tried to connect my Xboxone X to AW2518HF for the 120hz experience.

Failed to change the framerate in settings. Not recognizing the monitor`s specs?

The monitor 240hz, ports, and cables are all capable of 1080p@120hz

Hope to have the firmware update to support the monitor.

    Hello there!

We understand that there is an issue with the console being recognized.

There has definitely been plenty of troubleshooting attempted.

Try following our Troubleshooting 4K and HDR on Xbox One X and Xbox One S as this may have to do with the
4K setting for the console when set up with each 4K supported device.

Try this out and let us know if this works.

    Best wishes!

    Hi there,

You mentioned the monitor had a "hiccup", would you be able to clarify what happened? Thr concern is that it could br something thay shorted either the monitor or a xbox port

Oh what i meant by that was yesterday i turned it on and it didn't work either. But unplugging the HDMI cord and plugging it back in (the Xbox) fixed the issue.

  11. Did you try using another cable or to plug the xbox on another source?

No i do not have another monitor or another cable. I assume that since the laptop works on the monitor with the same HDMI cable that it wouldn't be the cable or the monitor.

Monitor not recognizing Xbox One X randomly (not a monitor problem)

    Hello MrFree,

The reason trying another monitor or tv is being advised is because its possible that the display settings on the monitor are not meshing well with the xbox console. Aside from that, if all Troubleshooting has already been performed then you may want to
consider setting up a repair as stated above.

You can set up your own repair here :
    Device support

    Or
    you can contact us here
to request a call back from a live agent

    Hope this helps!

Ok i guess i can always buy another monitor and see if it works. Is there a reason why this monitor worked for a month and all of a sudden it doesn't work with the Xbox?
