    Monitor Help


    So, i have until recently had an MSI Optic G241 - running it at 120Hz, Freesync, VRR ON. (Xbox One X)

    No matter what i tried, it felt sluggish so i sent the monitor back!

    Anyone with technical knowledge of monitors can you help? I know the ins and outs of games being capped at 60FPS but i am hearing some say it will still run smoother at 1440P 120Hz VRR.

    Question is, should i be buying a 1080P 144Hz or a 1440P 144Hz? which will truly give me the lowest input delay (aside from 1MS)

    But i want someone with technical knowledge to tell me if i should be getting 1080P over 1440P

    I will be buying the Xbox Series X too!

    Are either of these sufficient, or should i be looking at something else, anything around £300 is fine with me!

    also be careful if u decide to use a third party dongle as some of them are too big and block the hdmi port.

    microsoft as well as others make a dongle that goes into the proprietary port that outputs RCA (Red and White) while using the HDMI out.

    You'll also need an adapter to go from RCA to 3.5 mm stereo connector (female), such as this one:

    www.amazon.com/.../ref=sr_1_5

    This adapter plus the one that Mister Ohnaka mentioned, will give you just what you need.
