Monitor Has Horizontal lines

So yesterday I was using my PC normally and suddenly my monitor started showing consistent horizontal lines every 5 pixels or so.

It seems that the monitor skips these lines and places them a few lines above where they are supposed to be. The issue seems to come from the screen as if I disconnect the video cable the problem remains even on the logo screen and the OSD.

Is this a hardware or config problem?

It’s not something you can fix, and it’s not some thing, assuming that you could even find someone that fixes monitors, and has the parts to do it

Assuming it’s not in warranty, You can try contacting the manufacturer of it, and see what they might be able to do, but I’m not optimistic that any of it will be worth your time

Also happens with no source at all, meaning the OSD menu. Is this something easy to replace or should I send it to an expert?

Sounds like a bad scaler if it’s with all sources. You’ll have to replace it

It would be the button down and to the right of the Xbox jewel. It has the 3 horizontal lines.

Disable Just scan or whatever your TV calls eliminating overscan.
