    today i bought a gift card of 15 euros. when i typed in the code on the xbox one, it said it was added to my account balance. my purpose was to buy something on the 360 and a store that i emailed, said it was usable on both consoles. when i started up the
    360, my account balance was €0,05

    this isn't right ofcourse, how can i change my billing information on the 360, so that i can use the money from the xbox one? please please help!

    Did you buy the right currency card ?

    They are regionspecific

    Meaning if you are buying French or English currency cards but you have German billing info that would be why you would need German currency cards

    Also you need to make the purchase on a 360 console to use the currency on 360 content

    to check on what region you entered the €15 code go to
    http://account.microsoft.com/

    It will show the currency in the left side on the page, you may need to go down a bit.

    i bought a european gift card of 15 euro from this website:

    i am dutch so it should work on both consoles, but it doesn't work on the 360 when i entered it on the xbox one

    You might also consider trying to redownload your profile to your 360. Sometimes this helps to reconnect with Xbox live properly. I don't know if this will fix the issue you're seeing, but it couldn't hurt to try.

    Keep in mind if you are buying from the xbox 360 marketplace on xbox one rather then the xbox 360 console that won't work

    You need to have a payment option on file toymaker such purchases

    i also changed my location on xbox one, because i live in the netherlands but my location was belgium. maybe that should do it too
