Money hungry microsoft

had Xbox before and loved it now have xbox 1s and it sucks don’t know what their trying to do but I just wanted a game console why do I need a password to play a game and when my son walks in game stops playing and starts signing him in you have to have
internet some games u can’t play single player without a subscription I just want to put the disc in play a game and save it with out telling Microsoft how I feel or what I had for lunch. Very disappointed

If you don't want to play online, you can set the console to offline mode so you don't have to sign in. And unless a game requires gold, you don't have to have a subscription. You would just need to sign into Live. Using Xbox One Offline

As for your son signing in when he walks into the room, change your sign-in preferences so he's not set up to auto sign in - Change Your Sign-In Preferences on Your Xbox One
