    Must Microsoft monetise everything? The latest so-called upgrade makes it impossible to avoid ads between games unless a subscription is paid. From now on I'll look elsewhere for my solitaire games.

    I think this will depend on the developer depending on the game but I don't think anyone here would be qualified to give you such legal advice.

    Whilst consoles such as the Xbox One support streaming to YouTube and Twitch for example, (Twitch supports a type of monetisation if you're getting a lot of views), I think the best thing to do would be to be cautious and not set any gaming videos up for
    monetisation, and if you receive a "cease and desist" or "take down" email from the game developer to comply with it in a timely fashion.

    Please also be sure to read the copyright information regarding the specific game, some of which may have contact information included which you can contact.

    Monetising Gears of War 3 videos ?

    Hey guys.

    I'm asking everywhere about this question. Now that Microsoft acquired the right of the franchise, is YT monetisation of Gears of War content allowed ? The game does not appear in their developper rules ( http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/developer/rules ),
    so I don't know.

    they are probably doing this to make it more difficult for people to monetise stolen accounts.

    There's still money to be made from UT. Account thefts won't suddenly end if the bottom falls out of the UT market or the mode is taken offline completely. These people will just find new ways to monetise accounts.

    Favourite game of 2019 so far?

    Apex Legends, it's free, engaging and not pay-to-win (for now) or saturate it with micro transactions. I'm hoping EA actually puts some solid thought into how they're going to monetise Apex. I'd be happy to pay for it to teach EA a lesson too.

    All games should be free

    That would never happen, If the game is heavily monetised with Loot Boxes and other content like Gated Areas then fine because Developers need to make money.

    Several free to play games have the right balance for example Warframe and Path of Exile
